I never met a woman they're really care about people like Mary Jo does she feed you she help you with your finances and your bills she's really one of the true Minnesota people that I meant since I've been here I love that woman and she don't even know it .

Lived in Mary Jo's for a month, in the past and I thank her and her family for giving me and my family get back on my feet, still hard but I keep a roof over our head, all utilities up to date and food on the table and the important things in life, is to help and give to the less fortunate if you can, even if volunteering is the only way you can give back. May our very own Angel " Mary Jo " always around.

I went in with my eldest child as we were near, and I wanted to check if I could get a coat. Line wasn't long, nice individuals standing next to me. We went downstairs, tables set up to dig through. My son and I set it on a table we weren't supposed to, but didn't notice. This man came over, pointed to the sign and asked if I could speak English 😲😳 I was stunned and couldnt say anything. He yelled it a second time and threw my things to the floor. I saw that this place has good donated things and feeds many people, so that is great! I also saw there are MANY vulnerable souls, who deal with this man, probably on a daily basis and it makes me worry some about their treatment and safety.

I was sent here because everyone kept telling me about her and saying that she will help me I went there waited in the line then they said come back at 12 I came back at 12 and didn’t get to talk to her and was told by a lady at the window that she doesn’t help with what I needed help with I was going to go back up there hope that I can talk to her directly because I was told that I have to talk to her and no one else

If you're hungry in Minneapolis, stop here every day except Fridays for a hot meal, coffee, milk and sometimes sandwiches to take with you. You can eat all you want until you're full. Free bus tokens on weekdays. They make great food here. There's also a free dental clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-3pm but they only do extractions. You don't need insurance or even an ID if you have any. The service is completely free. In the basement, there's a daily giveaway of donated clothes/shoes/toys/kitchenware etc. It's also open every day except Fridays. The closet is very popular and people can be pushy and rude. Bring a calm mindset with you if you plan on going down the basement. People start lining up at 9am both for the closet and the hot meal but service doesn't start until 10am of shortly after.
